Same-Day Heater Repair From a Local Team
When the heat goes out in a Pennsylvania winter, waiting days for a repair isn’t an option. BOSH Home Solutions provides same-day emergency heater repair across Bucks County, Montgomery County and Northeast Philadelphia.
Our technicians repair gas, oil, propane and electric heating systems of every major brand, including furnaces, hot water and steam boilers, and heat pumps. We find the real cause, explain it in plain language and give you upfront pricing before any work starts.
Heating Systems We Repair
Furnace Repair
Gas, oil, propane and electric furnaces. No heat, short cycling, ignition problems and blower failures.
Boiler Repair
Hot water and steam boilers, including circulator pumps, zone valves, pressure problems and oil burners.
Heat Pump Repair
Cold air in heat mode, a frozen outdoor unit, defrost problems and high backup-heat bills.
Furnace Repair
Most furnace breakdowns come down to a handful of parts. On gas and propane furnaces, we regularly replace failed hot surface igniters, dirty flame sensors, inducer motors, pressure switches, limit switches and control boards. On oil furnaces, we service the burner, nozzle, oil filter and ignition so the system lights reliably and burns clean.
We also fix the problems that make a furnace run but not heat well: a weak blower motor, a clogged filter or coil, or ductwork that isn’t moving air to every room. If your furnace is older and a repair doesn’t make sense, we’ll tell you honestly and show you your options.
Boiler Repair
Many older Bucks County and Philadelphia homes heat with hot water or steam boilers, and they need a technician who knows them. We repair gas and oil boilers, including circulator pumps, expansion tanks, zone valves, aquastats, low-water cutoffs, pressure relief valves and oil burners.
Common signs of a boiler problem are cold radiators or baseboards, banging or gurgling pipes, a pressure gauge that’s too high or too low, and water leaking around the boiler. Catching these early can prevent a no-heat call on the coldest night of the year.
Heat Pump Repair
Heat pumps heat your home efficiently until the temperature drops and a problem shows up. We repair heat pumps that blow cool air in heat mode, ice over and don’t defrost, run constantly, or lean on expensive backup electric heat.
The usual causes include a failed defrost control or sensor, a stuck reversing valve, a bad capacitor or contactor, refrigerant leaks and dirty coils. We repair ducted heat pumps and ductless mini-splits from every major brand.
Signs You Need Heater Repair
No heat or weak heat
The system runs but the house never gets comfortable.
Short cycling
The heat turns on and off every few minutes.
Strange noises
Banging, squealing, rattling or booming at startup.
Cold spots
Some rooms, radiators or baseboards stay cold.
Higher bills
Gas, oil or electric bills go up without colder weather.
Smells or a yellow flame
A burning or gas smell, or a burner flame that isn’t blue. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas utility first.
Quick Checks Before You Call
A few simple checks can sometimes get your heat back on. If they don’t, give us a call.
Check the thermostat
Make sure it’s set to Heat, a few degrees above room temperature, and replace the batteries if the screen is blank.
Check the breaker and switch
Make sure the furnace or boiler switch, often a light switch near the unit, is on, and that no breaker has tripped.
Check the filter
A clogged furnace or air handler filter can shut a system down. Replace it if it’s dirty.
Check the boiler pressure
Most hot water boilers run at 12 to 20 PSI. A reading well outside that range needs a technician.
Check the heat pump outdoor unit
Clear away snow and leaves. A thin layer of frost is normal; a solid block of ice is not.
What Our Customers Say

When Is It a Heating Emergency?
Call us right away if you have no heat in freezing weather, if pipes are at risk of freezing, or if water is leaking from your boiler. We offer same-day emergency service across our service area.
If you smell gas or your carbon monoxide alarm goes off, leave the house first and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. Once it’s safe, we’ll find and fix the cause.
While you wait for our technician, keep interior doors open so warm air can circulate, open cabinet doors under sinks on outside walls to help protect pipes, and use space heaters carefully, never near curtains or bedding. Don’t keep resetting a furnace or boiler that keeps shutting off, since its safety controls may be stopping it for a reason.
Not every heating problem is an emergency. A system that’s running but struggling, a strange new noise or a bill that’s higher than usual can usually wait for a scheduled visit, but don’t put it off too long. Small problems caught early are almost always cheaper to fix.
What Affects the Cost of Heater Repair?
Every repair is priced upfront, before any work starts. These are the main factors.
The part
A flame sensor or capacitor costs far less than a control board, circulator pump or inducer motor.
System type and fuel
Furnaces, boilers and heat pumps use different parts, and oil systems need different service than gas.
Age and brand
Parts for older or discontinued systems can cost more and take longer to get.
Access
Units in tight attics or crawl spaces take more time to work on.
Repair Costs Adding Up?
If your furnace, boiler or heat pump keeps breaking down, a new system may cost less over time. Repairs and replacements can be financed, including No Interest if Paid in Full in 18 Months.*
